Missing mail, spam and blocked senders

Missing messages are not always a connection problem. Mailbox filters, blocked addresses, forwarding and storage limits can change what reaches Inbox even when sign-in works.

Trace a single missing message

  1. Search the official webmail interface using the sender and an approximate date.
  2. Check Spam, Trash, Archive and custom folders.
  3. Review blocked addresses, forwarding and rules that move or delete mail.
  4. Ask the sender whether they received a delivery-failure notice, and check its exact reason.

Make a precise change

If a genuine message is in Spam, use the provider’s not-spam control after checking the sender. Unblock only the intended address. Avoid turning off all filtering or allowing an entire unfamiliar domain just to recover one message.

Look for unexpected account changes

Forwarding or rules you did not create can be a sign of unauthorized access. Use the provider’s account-security steps, change credentials through the official site and review connected sessions.

Mailbox storage and attachment limits can also reject mail. Check the provider’s documented limits and preserve wanted messages before clearing space.
